Re: [RC] Papers and horses - Bette LamoreI would think that a smart competitor would strike a deal after the first few wins, long before the first "+" that either the breeder signs over the papers, or the campaigning stops. Unless the breeder is a total idiot and wants to cut off his nose to spite his face, I would think he would be happy not to have the expense and yet share in the glory! He can advertise the gelding as a success of his breeding program! (sorry for the gender use, but I can't imagine a woman breeder doing that ;-) oh oh-- get the asbestos suit on :-) Bette Bette Lamore Whispering Oaks Arabians Home of Bunny and 16.2h TLA Halynov who lives on through his legacy Hal's Riverdance! http://www.arabiansporthorse.com Always remember: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
