RE: [RC] Papers and horses - Alison FarrinExcept that without transferring papers ownership stays with the breeder as far as the breed association is concerned and now, when You have campaigned your gelding to Legion of Merit status, as far as any reporting is concerned, its NOT your horse. Seems a tad unfair, AND misleading. Alison A. Farrin Retaining papers on a gelding makes almost no sense, unless you are very embarrassed with his conformation and don't want people to think he is representative of your breeding program.
