RE: [RC] IV Fluids before the ride (was: Malaysia, etc.) - Fred Cluskey
I rarely post but read Ridecamp......
Lets all take a deep breath and look at what this IV does....If you talk to an experienced endurance Vet ...alll would agree that IV horses is safe and aids the horse to replace fluids....Yes lost from stress of flying around the world.....All done by experienced endurance Vets....
Endurance is comprised of several levels of competition....the 25 milers...50....75...etc.....and hope each one of you enjoy the ride you choose to do.....and yes...the international riders choose to try to move up to that level...It is quite a commitment....These horses in Mal...have been in Florida for 4 weeks getting used to the heat and humidity and training together....Now .....they are there....the ride is not until Nov. 9th---A little different schedule than most Aerc rides but that is their choice and degree of commitment to try to do the Best for USA......They are our team.....
Lets enjoy our horses and the piece of endurance that fits each of us....
AND WISH OUR TEAM A LITTLE LUCK....
