RE: [RC] Trail Markings - David LeBlancEd said: Some parts of Steph's rides on the Owyhee are rather sparcely marked. I see no problems if the turns are marked and you are told not to leave the road until a very well marked spot. I call all those extra ribbons "confidence ribbons. " I've never had a problem at Owyhee finding the trail, so I don't really agree that it is sparsely marked. One thing John and Steph do that a lot of other rides would do well to emulate is the "Wrong Way!" pie plates used when missing a turn would land you in Nevada. Along the same lines, was once at a ride and saw a sign "If you're here, and you're on the 30, go BACK!". =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
