Re: [RC] Safest at the Trot??? - Mike LewisAgree!! I *hate* the walk--it picks at my impatient nature.I love the trot and feel most secure there. Canter isn't too bad, either. One of the two times in my life I've fallen off a horse was at the trot. The timing was most helpful in assisting me figure out how to come off and stay out of the horse's way. :-) I agree--I tend to feel quite secure when the horse spooks at the trot... maybe it is just a synch thing... To this day I feel much more secure at a trot than a canter. Its much easier for me to pick up the rhythm and keep a secure seat. It used to puzzle people that I would fall off at a canter and never get off balance when my horse would dodge sideways at a trot. But then I've always been an odd person. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
