was tried "once." Tying is something to which horses must be
educated by lots and lots of repetition. If you are going to tie
them at rides, they should be tied at home--and for much longer than
what it takes to tack up. Try tying overnight at home with a hay
net and a bucket. Train for it, just like you train for
everything else you do at rides.
And if they paw, break them to hobble, and hobble them when tied.
You wouldn't let your kids throw food at the dinner table--so why let
your horses get away with the same sort of bad behavior?
