Re: [RC] LASIK (was Did you know??) - Lynn KinskyHi Sharon: Can you please tell us your age and how long ago have you had the LASIK surgery? I'm not sharon, but I had my LASIK at age 56 to correct severe astigmatism and myopia (without my glasses Iwas legally blind: 20/600, couldn't see the big E on the chart). I opted for correction of both eyes for distance, and am still 20/20 -- but I need reading glasses for presbyopia if I want to read small print -- which was true before I had LASIK, as well; although I can read newspaper print without glasses post-LASIK). It really felt good to go down to the DMV a few months later and get the "corrective lenses" addition taken off my driver's license -- it had been there since I got my first license at 14! -- Lynn Kinsky, Santa Ynez, CA http://www.silcom.com/~lkinsky/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
