Re: [RC] [RC] "dont let my young horses canter" much until age 6! - Barbara McCraryI have a horse that sunfishes if asked to canter when he's too fresh, and his trot is fast enough to be all I need in speed. When asked to go faster, he just trots faster, as Jessica noted. I also had a horse once who trotted fast enough for my satisfaction, and his canter was so uncomfortable, I never asked for, nor needed it.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jessica Spoone-Raines" <jspoone@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2006 9:52 PM Subject: Re: [RC] [RC] "dont let my young horses canter" much until age 6! time. A horse that can't be cantered is pretty useless. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
