Re: [RC] Beet Pulp sticky? - Zephyr ArabiansFWIW, to add to my comments about beet pulp & it's lack of stickiness in my experience, I feed beet pulp pellets & soak overnight. Sometimes I soak in lots of water so it's extremely soggy, and sometimes in less water so it's more fluffy. The horses seem to love it both ways, and it's just not what I'd consider sticky ("like peanut butter") either way. I also have met several vets over the years who dislike beet pulp. None have ever given a concrete reason for their dislike. And, they tend to be the same vets who will recommend something like A&M for weight gain. For those unfamiliar with A&M, it's chopped alfalfa & molasses. Horses certainly love the stuff, but not necessarily my idea of an ideal feed (particularly for horses with IR, Cushings or just general sugar sensitivity). ~Nicole Zephyr Arabians http://www.zephyrarabians.com KattWmn Web Design http://www.kattwmn.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
