RE: [RC] Hoof Boots + Gaits - Linda CowlesThis is the first year I've been using our Boa Boots for conditioning/training rides mostly due to hoof wear. What I've noticed, with all 4 boots on including the gaiters, is that my horse is tending to go into a "gait". She is a grade Arab so have no idea of her true breeding. Another trail rider noted she appears to be pacing with both legs on one side moving together when she does this. It feels very comfortable, I can definitely sit it, and she seems to be able to maintain this "gait" without any problem. It's not a trot and not a canter but something inbetween. I ride is Epics and Boa's, and yes, Gabby does move differently in the Boa Boots - he struts! It isn't a huge difference, but a noticeable one. He also points to them with his nose when we're standing around talking to hikers because the Boas look so much like a running shoe that they attract attention... And Gab is a ham. I want to try the Old Macs, but like the Epic's the best so far.
