[RC] Hoof Boots + Gaits - Val Nicoson

This is the first year I've been using our Boa Boots
for conditioning/training rides mostly due to hoof
wear. What I've noticed, with all 4 boots on
including the gaiters, is that my horse is tending to
go into a "gait". She is a grade Arab so have no idea
of her true breeding. Another trail rider noted she
appears to be pacing with both legs on one side moving
together when she does this.
It feels very comfortable, I can definitely sit it,
and she seems to be able to maintain this "gait"
without any problem. It's not a trot and not a canter
but something inbetween.
We just finished a 25-mile ride at Endless Valley in
WI and we rode this ride barefoot...perfect barefoot
trails. Once, during the second 12 mile loop, she
went into this gait but it's the first time she has
without the boots on.
Just curious if any other people may have noted a gait
difference with their horses while wearing any kind of
hoof boot and what they thought or did about it, if
any thing.
Just curious,
Val + Sania
