There are good gaited horses and there are poor gaited horses. There are good trotting horses and there are poor trotting horses.A horse that is not built to last in endurance won't last in endurance independent of the breed. A horse that is has a good chance (there are always accidents) independent of breed. My TWH mare was retired for breeding at 16. That year she had about 400 miles including 2 one day 100's - the last one being the ROC. Find yourself a good horse you like and go have fun.
