Re: [RC] gaited horses- long term soundness - Peter HarperFrom: Truman Prevatt <tprevatt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [RC] gaited horses- long term soundness That's pretty much poppycock. A good horse is a good horse and poor horse is a poor one. There are good gaited horses and there are poor gaited horses. There are good trotting horses and there are poor trotting horses. ------------------------------------------------- Well said Truman! With Mike's help we pulled the AERC records for TWH's. There are a number of TWH's that have enjoyed very long successful endurance careers. There are Walkers out there with 3000+ miles and 10+ years in endurance. Considering their low overall percentage of horses competing they are well represented. A good horse is a good horse no matter how they move down the trail.
