Re: [RC] health & fitness - Maggie MieskeHey Angie, Nelson and I are starting a diet tomorrow....I plan to lose 20#. Which will change my weight division unless I carry extra weight with me. I was teetering on HW at the last ride in which I stood for BC and only losing 5# will make me a middleweight, 20# should keep me there. Should I just carry lots of extra water bottles or put lead in my pockets and keep riding as a HW? Or do that when I condition and then ride as a middleweight? :) What a dilemma! Guess I better get to work on losing it first before I worry too much about it! I'm hoping to keep myself motivated and healthy by walking 2 or 3 days a week (plus riding weather permitting, of course) and maybe going to the local pool a couple of times a week for a water aerobics class. Swimming is VERY good low impact exercise. I LOVE it! Might be something for you to consider with your rotator cuff problem. Don't know if that'll help you much in the buddy department or not... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
