*** This only can happen if you are a member of USA-E and the AERC. I would guess
that only a small portion of our membership belongs to both. I belong primarily for the
insurance coverage. It's another $85 to belong to USA-E in addition to the $65 for
AERC. The AERC records don't show if members belong to both nor is there
a field in s/w at present to indicate that or keep a USA-E number if they had one.
Of course - it's SMOP to do so... :-) If you want a number under the mentioned method -
you have to join USA-E first

*** Apparently past participants in FEI rides held in conjunction with AERC rides
have had to do this already. Their horses have numbers.
So the principal beneficiaries would be those AERC members who have not been in an FEI
event but will do so sometime in the future. I'd rather hold my $85 until I decided to
ride in a FEI event.
At least that's my personal view.
