Yes! The gnats are awful this year as well as the yellow jackets! My horses had bees flying around their hay! For the gnats I put "swat" (the clear formula) in their ears because that is where my horses were bothered the most. I also placed "swat" on their bellies, teats, and "belly-buttons" because the gnats would bite them there also. I also heard it can prevent pigeon fever. (possible spread areas thru fly bites). So far it has worked pretty well. For flies I clean up the manure pretty fast and even poor a diluted type of fly spray on the pile; (organic type for the enviro). Seems to work also. But it has definately been a bad year!
