One of the thing a battery dealer told me once was many of the batteries 
out there are not designed to take the mechanical stress put on a 
battery used in an RV - primarily coming from vibration. They will break 
down mechanically and the plates short long before the end of the 
battery life. There are a few batteries out there that are designed to 
withstand vibration - but of course they are a little more expensive.
