I have had my horse do this too, but at home when I scrub out her bucket. She seems to just really enjoy it and will close her eyes and appear to be in ectasy. She doesn't do it every time I clean her bucket but just sometimes. Never could figure out why. She is on pasture 24/7 and is supplemented with ABC and grain/beet pulp according to her work schedule.
