I'd submit here that the ride vets that are scared of horses are a heck of a 
lot more scarce than the horses with bad manners!  Furthermore, poor ride 
vets are rarely asked back, since ride management pays for their services and 
usually gets plenty of feedback from riders.  There is NO substitute for good 
basic training,  no matter WHAT discipline in which you compete--and 
endurance is NOT an exception!
