Ticks!

I too am very interested in Tick control. My gelding hit a nest on a ride
and even though I picked nearly 20 ticks off that night I missed a few and
he had a horrible reaction. His leg from the knee down blew up. I have
used a fly spray with tick repellent with some success, but not great (I
will admit, I forgot to spary him on this ill fated night). I was told to
try Sevin Dust (a powder for gardens and house hold pets). Does anyone use
this or have any better suggestions?

The vets told me they have seen many bad tick reactions this year so far in
No. California... it is a bad year!
