Re: Shoeing Curiosity Question

Linda,

You can put me on your prize list too. Here in northern
Virginia (near DC) the prices for everything are high. My
farrier is in the average range and I pay $70 for trim and
front shoes only, $120 for shoes all around. I get a $5
discount for a reset (whoo hoo). I'm not sure what he
charges for just a trim. He does several horses at my barn
(a boarding facility with 40 horses) and we work out
appointments so he can do at least 2 horses when he comes
out. He uses keg shoes, works them hot and puts clips on.
He's done a great job so far (I've only had my horse since
January) and is quiet and patient. My horse likes him, I
always think that's a good sign.
