[RC] Cannon bone measurements - Jen SimonsTitle: Cannon bone measurementsOn another horse site I am on I asked about cannon bone measurements. What is ideal, per 100lbs? I always heard 8” per 1000lbs, but 7” is acceptable. And it can get thicker with age. But in response one person said: “the only thing I know about cannon measurements is serious endurance folks won’t even consider a horse with less than 9”. Don’t think she is an endurance rider from what she has spoken of in the past. Huh? This true? I would think that would be a pretty heavy horse. Though, I’ve never measured before to compare. What say you?
