[RC] Feed Management - D'Arcy Demianoff-Thompson

Although the information in my last post pertained to feeding cows.   I wonder if we could do the same feed substitute for horses (minus the cob/corn ratios).  It has been determined that Elk Grove Milling pelleted feed is the most accepted at rides for its 'weed free' quality.  So, reading the documentation from the UFL - I would think the pelleted feed along with the correct amount of roughage hay would be a sound feed management alternative to reduce feed costs.  Especially here in CA.  Where, by-the-way I was just quoted $310.00 a ton delivered (grass/alfalfa).  BLAH!
