Re: [RC] Grey Horses - Barbara McCraryI am instinctively attracted to bays. That said, one of my very best horses, for endurance, trail and working cattle, was grey. Another special horse, who took me through Tevis twice and was a fine cow horse, was a golden dun with amber eyes and a dorsal stripe. My husband's best horse was grey...an outstanding endurance, ride and tie, and cattle horse. Another excellent endurance horse of his was bay. I agree with several of the previous comments...grey horses usually are "pig-pens", but a good horse is a good horse, no matter what color. I certainly wouldn't have chosen my husband of 58 years from the color of his hair and eyes.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sisu West Ranch" <ranch@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, January 02, 2009 8:36 AM Subject: Re: [RC] Grey Horses "If it is a good horse, it is a good color."* =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
