I need to move to Colorado!! Grass/alfalfa is about 3 times that amount here (central coast, Calif). So, on that note, what would cause such a major flux in price from one area to the next? Aren't seed costs, ag production, etc. pretty much the same across the country? The gas prices are way down, so that's not it. Our hay here is roughly between $15 & $25 a bale.
