Re: [RC] re: the horse can't out pull you - tying and rolling the dice - Elizabeth Walker

I had to laugh. There is a lady at my ranch that I'm pretty sure uses Parelli (or thinks she is), and I've seen her crouching in the center of the round pen - waiting - for something - while the horse is standing there looking at her. I dunno ... if I can't figure out what she wants, I'm not sure the horse can, either...

I can also identify with some of the more dramatic stuff. Normally, Caisson will move off on the circle when I point, and raise my dressage whip with a flag on it. However, if he has a lot of pent-up energy, he won't. He will "play" me too, because he wants an excuse to bolt madly around. He knows from past experience that if he refuses to move off, I'll get more energetic with the flag, and at some point it will be enough for him to "spook", kick, buck and run... Once he gets that out of his system, he goes back to moving off when I point. :)
