Re: [RC] 100 mile rides are disappearing - Barbara McCraryIt affected our ride considerably. We started 105 riders total, 50/50 75 milers and 100 milers. We were delighted, but also realized that when Tevis is held next year, our numbers would be down again. And the fact that we had announced we were retiring from managing the 100 also brought in riders who had never done it and wanted to do it at least once.As an aside, we had two riders entered in the 75 who were riding with artificial joints... a woman with a hip replacement and a man with two shoulder and two hip replacements. Now that takes courage and endurance!!! I'm so proud of them.
