Re: [RC] New Topic - AmyCongrats on the wedding Ranelle!I am hoping to do some or at least one LDs or CTRs this year with my 5yr old morab. There is a novice 15mile CTR ride in my area in April, so would like to try that one to start off with. I just called a local endurance rider and we are supposed to ride together before that for her to see what she thinks about our conditioning/pacing/etc. I need to do some camping this year before camping at rides and have plans for that in May. I'd also like to ride around the northern part of lower MI to investigate trails that are near where my family has property, I think one is right on the shore to shore trail! Also would love to do some moonlight riding, last night with the moon shining brightly and all that white snow, I was just thinking how awesome it would be to go riding. It's COLD here in MI for sure, but this weekend is going to be up in the thirty's (heatwave!) and I've found a few friends to go riding with on Sunday, I'm very excited! Been dreaming about trail riding since I haven't been able to do it in a few weeks. My horse Indy keeps looking at me like when are we going to get out and go somewhere?! I'd also like to keep up with my dressage lessons, eat healthy (less sugar) and keep up with my fitness program, I've been really good for two days now :). Just ordered an indo board and am excited to use that to strengthen my core, anyone else use one? My hubbie broke his ankle and it was recommended for his rehab. Also need to learn how to use my GPS and equine HRM. I ordered the Vmax HRM and it suggests not using a leather or neoprene girth, what girth do people like for them? I need a dressage girth for my saddle and only have a leather one. Whew, I think it's gonna be a busy and hopefully really fun year! When I think of what you in the Northern states go through to bring a horse out of winter in some sort of shape, I have to count my blessings. We are wet, but relative to your temps, we are almost tropical. We may get below freezing at night, but just barely. I just want the sun to come out..! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
