(sorry if I offend anyone who uses those). Hey, another good use for earplugs could be to keep those pesky little deer flies out of the horse's ears too! I can't recall who it was) who used them on their terribly spooky horse and they said it basically stopped the spooking. They also said that a lot of carriage/driving horses use them.
