Then, in addition, you have things like how far back the shoe is set, how it is shaped to the hoof, etc. Even on a barefoot horse - how much the toe is rolled is going to affect breakover and the path of the lower leg, even if the hoof angle is identical to what it was before.BTW - this Hoof Wizard idea of using the hairline as a guide to imbalances in the hoof isn't late-breaking news ... my farrier has paid attention to the hairline for many years as a way to check whether there is something not properly aligned.
