Re: [RC] RO-L vs LAME - Kristen Fisher [Remote]Actually the vets can pull a horse at any point on the trail as well as at vet checks. Having gone out on trail, if even for a little while, would warrant a vet check when one returned to camp if one wanted to RO. So John's presumption that vets should only evaluate horses at specific control points and/or after a certain # of miles is incorrect.----- Original Message ----- From: "Beth Walker" <bwalker2@xxxxxxx> To: "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 15, 2008 8:44 AM Subject: Re: [RC] RO-L vs LAME I disagree. In this example, the horse went lame between two control points (preride and vet check 1). The next time the horse could be officially pulled would be at Vet Check 1, and the vet has the first crack at it. Therefore: LAME, not RO-L. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
