Re: [RC] RO-L vs LAME - Truman PrevattYep and I've seen it happen where a vet went out on trail and a horse I was riding with was pulled and the trailer came to pick them up.At the first Goethe ride in '97 (I was RM) it was hot and muggy that morning. The vet and I went out to a point about 6 miles from to start so he could make sure the horses were okay. He was worried about early ride tie ups. If there were a problem he would have pulled a horse. We chose the spot so we could easily get a trailer in. Truman Kristen Fisher [Remote] wrote: Actually the vets can pull a horse at any point on the trail as well as at vet checks. Having gone out on trail, if even for a little while, would warrant a vet check when one returned to camp if one wanted to RO. So John's presumption that vets should only evaluate horses at specific control points and/or after a certain # of miles is incorrect. -- “He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster.
