Re: [RC] [RC] Outlaw Trail 1998--nostalgiac moment - Barbara McCraryI think, although not positive, the reason he stopped offering the ride had to do with Pres. Clinton's designating the Grand Staircase-Escalante as a National Monument, thus putting the area off-limits to "competitive events." Would someone, perhaps Crockett himself either confirm or refute this?Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carla Richardson" <richardson.carla@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Barbara McCrary" <bigcreekranch@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: "k s swigart" <katswig@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 9:42 AM Subject: Re: [RC] Outlaw Trail 1998--nostalgiac moment I asked Crockett if the Outlaw Trail was going to be offered again as a ride, when I saw him at Death Valley. He said no, it had been several years since the last one, but ... hmm. Maybe if he were to get some "encouragement" he would consider it. <g> I'd sure like to see it happen, sounds great, a point to point, actual trail (vs. gravel roads). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
