Re: [RC] [RC] cat shot/horse shot - Sisu West Ranch

The trick to eliminating dangerous dogs that attack you and yours is:

1. Never threaten the owner. This would make you the chief suspect, and also labeled as a "dangerous" person.

2. Optionally, return the dog home one time. Express concern that the animal running at large may be hit by a car. In Wisconsin I sometimes explained that "those German farmers down the road have been suspected of shooting dogs that run their cows" Express lots of concern over the welfare of the loose dog. Since, in most juristictions, dogs are supposed to be confined you do not need to raise suspicion that you may hurt the animal because it is bothering you.

3. If necessary make sure the dog completely disappears, never to be seen again. This includes using enough gun. Wounding animals is just cruel.

4. Keep your own pets securely confined. This is just common curtsey.

5. If you suspect that anyone saw you eliminate the dangerous animal, immediately make a police report. In the report be sure to state that you were very afraid because the dog was attacking you, your child, horse or dog. The more helpless the victim, the better. The first report of an incident carries the most weight.
