'fast turtles'... is it not the argentinian gene that
produced this special specie

well, I go several times per week; I saw the reports
from Uruguay, but not from Patagonia. Yes, it is gorgeous :-)
And did you ride also ?
I'm not sure I want to start
the LD.vs.Endurance discussion again!! But yes, I did have a horse, an appy
who was not accustomed to endurance. I finished the first loop at the same
time as the winners were finishing their last loop:) My appy friend (Domino)
was in fine shape and we could have easily finished the entire 40km Endurance
Race IF they had not had a cut-off time! The race started at 10am and finished
at 2pm with a 40min hold:) So I was on-trail for 3.5 hours - rode @10km - and
had a wonderful time. I was riding on a predetermined pace to achieve the
coveted turtle award - but they have fast turtles in Patagonia -- a specially
micoEvolution of the species I think.
