That they do doesn't make them pansies IMO.It's certainly harmless having color coordinated tack--now if that would extend to color coordinated rider attire, my ride photos would certainly be prettier like the cross country event photos. But yeah, using things till they break (like zippers and worn out velcro) and then using hay string to keep 'em going, that's certainly an endurance rider characteristic. Faded pommel/cantle bags are a sign of experience. I'll bet no endurance horse goes without the nutritional essentials and fripperies just because their rider likes sartorial splendor! ;-) Besides, it keeps the endurance tack vendors going, so they're there when we need 'em, especially at rides when that patched together piece of gear finally gives up the ghost.
