RE: [RC] [RC] Long Distance Hauling - Karen Standefer

Lots of the ones on the W. Coast close at 4pm or so (or at least the person
in charge of lodging goes home them).  So, you really need to call ahead.
On my long trips, I never leave a night's lodging up to chance, and normally
I have everything reserved and mapped out several weeks before I leave so
that I know how many miles I have to do in a day.

Usually they're open, but ... I found out that sometimes they're not
open, due to construction, or events, or whatever.  So it's best to
call ahead.  You can search on-line for fairgrounds in a particular
city or state.
