The rides I have attended, we have had lots more volunteers than  
vets.  I think the most vets we had was 6, and usually it is 3 or 4,  
with generally 2 or 3 different vet check locations.  With those  
numbers, having the volunteers do the pulse taking makes more sense  
in our area.
