Re: [RC] AERC National Championships with an International - Steph Teeterthrow in multiple vet check locations (we had 4 separation locations) and it becomes even more challenging. (you'd need 4 Nancy's and many more volunteer pulse takers). I honestly think it's best to be flexible on this - in our case we had LOTS of vets, and there was never any waiting. In the case where there's a rush, and not enough vets, one should use additional pulse takers. The use of hand-held monitors certainly improves the accuracy and makes up for lack of qualified/experienced pulse takers.regarding the number of times allowed to present - the FEI rules state that the rider has 2 chances. AERC has no such rule and we made sure that every body understood that. It was never an issue, but if it had come down to it and the horse needed 3 times to present, they would have been dq'd from the FEI competition per FEI rules, but allowed to continue the AERC event. out of the pulse gate and starts over again.>> =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
