Re: [RC] geldiing an an older stallion-question for Angie and others - Barbara McCraryHere is my unprofessional take on this issue.I have ridden numerous geldings over the years. One was gelded at 2, never serviced a mare, and did not act studdy. One we raised was gelded at 13 months and acts very studdy. He could...and would...mount and penetrate a mare, even though he is a gelding. One I bought was not gelded until several years old (he is 10 now) and after he sired several foals. He is not studdy at all. I think it must depend on the individual. Is this true? Does it matter if he's bred a mare before or not? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
