RE: [RC] [RC] [RC]FEI determination of abuse - Kelly LaneQuote from Dr. Kent Allen (http://www.vaequine.com/staff.php) in the FEI report: "In my experience the injury of the nature that Le Samurai suffered at the Lexington Three-Day Event is very rare in the sport of eventing. Accordingly, event riders are simply not experienced with the situation when a horse breaks down in this manner, which is much more common in the sport of horse racing." hmmm.....guess dr. allen is being too harsh as well. i noticed that AT whipped the horse several times to keep him moving when he kept slowing up after the initial injury. i guess the 47 lame steps weren't enough warning. yep-could happen to anyone i suppose. ;)
