Re: [RC] re: removing a saddle horn? - Marirose SixMy husband has cut the horn off of a few saddles for me & others. He just used a saw-zall. If you know any handymen they may be able to do that for you. Then take it so a saddle guy if you want it prettied up some. ( I didn't bother as my saddles were the cheap synthetic kind that duct tape &/or black electrical tape made it look fashionable--at least that's my story :>) ) I never regretted it. Hi all, Just trying to find out some info on removing my saddle horn from my western saddle. I'm pretty sure somebody on this group has had this done. There is a local saddle maker that I will be contacting but until then I would love to hear everybody's opinion on this, good or bad. Banjo and I had a great ride yesterday, the longest we've had in a while. But, I now have a huge bruise on my belly from being up in the saddle. I was also wondering if this is caused by my stirrups being too long or if I am very unbalanced and leaning too far forward. Any experiences with this? Thanks in advance, Jen and Banjo =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
