Re: [RC] The hay situation/sticker shock - Amber RobertsThis kind of price may seem ok or even low for those of you in areas where hay supply is always precious, but in the hay-rich midwest, people are used to paying $2 to $3 a bale, so this is sticker shock! Talk about sticker shock, when we first most here 21 years ago, hay was $1.25. Last few years, we've paid $4/bale to have it delivered and stacked in our barn. Last year we paid $8.50 a bale! I'll bet prices won't be much lower this year. We'll never see $1.25 again.
