Re: [RC] FEI---Super YUUCH! - Mike LewisVery true. Have heard that the best things to do at Tevis are to know your horse, to shoe for the terrain, and BE CAREFUL to help your horse find the best footing.Mike ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara McCrary" <bigcreekranch@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Mike Lewis" <mikelewis@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>; "L gin" <ladurgin@xxxxxxx>; <Ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 26, 2007 7:51 PM Subject: Re: [RC] FEI---Super YUUCH! Tevis has some of the best vets and controls available for endurance horses. The "unkind" part of Tevis, if you want to call it that, is the terrain. That is very challenging: long steep grades in places, high temperatures, lots of rocks, trails on the edge of drop-offs, etc. That goes with the geography. There are other 100 milers that are similarly challenging, but in different ways. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
