Re: [RC] EZ ride strrups, deathtraps? - Mike LewisI bought the E-Z Ride stirrups with cages. I don't like their weight and the fact that they twist against my foot, but I do like the peace of mind knowing my foot cannot get caught and the cushioning the stirrups provide. As a runner, I put 3 to 4 times as many miles on MY feet each week as I put on my horse. Nice to have the extra cush. I recommend the trail stirrups to all of my distance clients. I have a horse which has put me on the ground a number of times and have never had a foot hang up. But I have seen numerous feet caught in the traditional western or English stirrups.
