Re: [RC] electrolytes and all advice - Jody Rogers-Buttram

Jonni,

I will go challenge more.  I want to see a west coast horse come to the OD 100 in June.  Just want to see how they would fair in the heat and humidity.

I mean this in a nice way people, I am NO way saying your horses are not good.

Frankly, I would LOVE to go do the Tevis, but those narrow trails with the BIG dropoffs is what keeps me here.

Jody in very warm Alabama.

Geezzz, who has flat ground and 70 degrees? LOL We have flat ground, but
heat and humidity. The canyons are not bad to the Texas horses. (at least
mine, and the friend who finished last year) We heard more whining from the
CA riders about the canyons that what came out of our mouths! LOL After
riding in heat and humidity to train, they are just not that bad!!! Even
Truman would agree, I'm sure, And we rarely agree on anything. Right Truman

Yes folks, find what works for YOUR horse. And remember, that "can" change
too. Consider conditions of the ride, time of the season and fitness level
of the horse etc. Then listen to your horse during the ride, and hope you
can understand what they are telling you.
Jonni in TX
