Re: [RC] [RC] [RC] bitless and plenty of whoa - Terry BanisterA HALTER/BRIDLE/SIDEPULL is a great option. It can take a bit when you want, or unclip the bit and just use the sidepull when the bit is not needed. The sidepull puts pressure on the nose like a hackamore, but not on the poll like the bitless bridle (some horses don't like it). If you don't feel the sidepull works for that horse at that time, you can clip your bit of choice onto it, and you have not wasted any money. Since it is a halter as well, only one headpiece is needed for everything.The Beta ones look like leather and last a long time. They will break away at the poll strap if your horse pulls back. If you don't want it to break away, biothane would probably be stronger.
