Basically, you are telling me that for fit horses, having the pulse
at 60 presents no problem whatsoever because they continue to drop--and
I agree. The ones that we want to catch (and DO catch) are the
ones who hit 64 and hang--and yes, Truman, I've seen enough of those to
want to slow them down by using more stringent criteria. In my
experience, I just don't see the "hangers" when we use a 60--but I
still did when we used 64. And that was plenty of empirical
evidence for me!
