==========================================

I'll give ya'll something new to beat to death:
LOL, I decided wisdom was better part of valor
Fri. at 6 am when I scratched my 50 mile entry
at Pow Wow in GA, due to 20'sF saddle up time
temps.

Even though ride day was expected in the 60'sF
a 20F start is pretty tough. I do not get any younger
(70) and it is really slow to warm up my muscles
joints, to say nothing of a proper warm up
on Seneca who is starting to run in Top Ten.

So I scratched the entry;

Truly ride managers need to look at reasonable
start times and when it is that frigid consider moving
forward an hour or so. The ride start is not carved in
stone once everybody arrives on site.

Ask me about my ride injuries in frigid starts and
the list will far outweigh normal temps (above 40F is
pretty normal to expect to saddle up in winter here).

thanks for listening and talk to those ride Managers!
