RE: [RC] Riding in NYC - Dolores ArsteI very much doubt that you would be allowed to ride in NYC never mind drive a horse trailer in. First there would be no place to park unless your trailer is under 6' tall. When the horses came in for the show at Madison Sq they were all trucked in and the trucks had to leave once unloaded. There is an old time riding academy in NYC near the Park Claremont Riding Academy. 175 W. 89th St. NYC 10024 (212)724-5100 That said my friend galloped thru the busy streets on an out of control horse she had stabled near the park. There was a loud noise and he was gone. But, that was unplanned and I doubt she'd volunteer to do it again. She now keeps him 70 miles upstate. Now, if you wanted to ride on Long Island, I could put you in touch with a couple of folks. Philadelphia, might be more promising as you could ride down the Wisicison to one of the river drives and into the city. Have you taken the Horseman's Self Defense course?
